I understand that removing a severely matted coat can be stressful for my pet and carries certain risks. By signing below, I acknowledge and accept the following:

Skin Risks: Shaving or de-matting may reveal pre-existing skin conditions such as rashes, sores, parasites, or infections. Fuzzies is not responsible for conditions uncovered during grooming.

Nicks & Irritation: Extreme matting increases the risk of skin irritation, cuts, hematomas, and clipper sensitivity despite all precautions.

Behavior & Stress: The process can be uncomfortable and may cause behavioral stress. The groomer will stop if it becomes unsafe.

Appearance: After removal, the coat may appear uneven, patchy, or much shorter than desired.

Future Care: I understand regular grooming and home maintenance are needed to prevent matting from reoccurring.

Veterinary Care: If grooming cannot be safely completed, I authorize Fuzzies to stop the groom and recommend veterinary care if necessary. Any costs will be at my expense.
